Description

these butterflies know their way to a warm place every winter, and with the first ray of sun, the first day of spring, they return home, not all of them, just the ones that didn't get close to the fire to die, for us not having the chance to return home again it's just but an odd, we'll seek all the ways to burn before that, and it's ok, misery was never a butterfly.

Color is something that a lot of people have trouble with.
The complexity of neutral, complimentary and color theory in general normally frightens us.
This image is a perfect example of what color theory is all about. The contrast betweens the yellows and blues and the greens and pinks. Everything is synchronized and perfectly matched up to make a massive impression on the eyes of the viewer. The use of neutral colors makes this comfortable to the eyes and does wonders for the composition and emphasis of the image.
The strokes of color are also something important.
It gives the right atmosphere and feeling to the canvas.

A very beautiful detail I find captivating are the eyes. Even though the butterflies caught my attention first, if you analyze the image with more detail and care, you see the emphasis in the expression of wonder. The butterflies are exquisite and have a good structure, catching attention but not overwhelming the viewer. The residual lines of the 'bugs-to-be' are thin enough to give the right type of focus without being a distraction to the viewer.
The only detail I can perceive is the structure and proportion of the face, it is slightly askew at the cheek bone and the meeting of the lips. A small detail that can be ignored.

This over all is a piece that is beautiful, astounding and most pleasing to the eye. A real treat for any lover of expressionism and surrealism.
